Great service, good price, small business no-how
Reviewer: Andrew V.I had a positive experience with now called Dick's Stereo.
Their prices are reasonable, and guaranteed to be less than the chain
prices of Car Toys or otherwise. They are an obvious small local
business, who really knows their stereos.
They can solve any problem, and connect you with
anything you want, and they're proud of what they do. With a shrine like
display of photographs you can see the crazy stereo set-ups they've
installed over the years.
My only complaint was how long I had to wait for
my vehicle to get out. It took several days to get an appointment, and
for a stereo upgrade, they had it for a good portion of the day. I
wasn't expecting that, but its completely forgivable compared with their
redeeming positive qualities!
Thank you Stereo King!
Good Installtion Department
Reviewer: LisaI
ordered online a sirius sattelite radio and needed it professionally
installed in my vehicle. These people scheduled me for an appointment
the very next day. The installation was done in about a hour and I was
very concerned about wires showing and there were none. They did a
terrific job and would go there again. Price was good also.
I'll go you one better!
Reviewer: Paul P.I'm also a long time customer (8 years) and I think the previous
reviewer hit the nail on the head! Stereo King is the kind of place you
go to for serious purchases. Not that you couldn't or shouldn't go there
for minor stuff too. But if you ever walk into the place on a Wednesday
afternoon, which is my day off, and you see how crazy it can get on
their sales floor ON A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON you must come to the obvious
conclusion that these customer's do "know something the other reviewer
don't". Just drop by Car Toys on a Wednesday. That sound you hear is
boredom. Some may also be intimidated because they don't always respond
to the customers like mindless robots ("Wazzup?" instead of
"HelloandwelcometocircuitcityhowmayIbeofassistancetoyoutoday?"). They
dialed in my WRX's system & I give them a thumbs up! (Parker)
A Fresh Opinion....
Reviewer: Cindy M.My family has been going to the people at Stereo King for over 18 years
and we have never had anything less than a 100% positive buying
experience at this company. We go to the one in Clackamas whenever we
want to get anything for our cars and boats (we have bought 6 complete
systems from them). My husband is a service manager for one the largest
auto dealers in Oregon, so the fact that he won't go anywhere else might
tell you something about his opinion too.My friend told me that she
doesn't always like shopping in smaller stores because there isn't as
much selection as the bigger malls (She likes Best Buy), but she also
said that the last time she went in to Best Buy for some advice on
buying a pair of speakers, she couldn't help but feeling like she knew
more about what would work for her than the 19 year old lady that helped
her did.IMHO - Stereo King is really more of the place to go when you
need expert advice and service. Yeah they don't wear name tags and
uniforms, but that's probably because these guys don't need to. Everyone
that I've ever seen in there seems to be on a first name basis with
these guys. There must be something to this company that some of the
other reviewers just don't get. Maybe there is the type of store that
people who are just shopping like to go to, and then there are the type
of stores that buyers go to. I suppose the place could use some new
paint but who cares, I go there to have my car taken care of and it
comes out super every time. Their prices are competitive & I would
highly recommend them!
Excellent Prices and Service
Reviewer: KaiserinI came in knowing the exact car stereo receiver that I wanted, as I had
done a little online research. I was relieved to find that the staff was
very friendly and were there to help me as soon as I walked through the
door. They didn't try to "upsale" me on a more expensive model; I was
just asked few questions about my car so they could estimate the price
of installation. At $35 for an after-market install, it's hard to find a
better deal. The sale price on my stereo receiver beat Outrageous Audio
and Cartoys sales. They matched the price of Fry's on clearance. It's a
no-frills showroom with hand-made price stickers, but that's just fine
with me, as the staff is very knowledgeable seem to want you get what is
right for you. Installation was done quickly in 30 mins, and I was told
I had a lifetime warranty. This came in handy, because as I drove away I
noticed a slight whining sound when I accelerated. I drove right back
and they fixed it on the spot within 10 minutes with no hassle. I'm
confident that if anything happens in the future, they'll stand behind
their warranty and take care of the problem.
